The main component of Dulcosoft® is Macrogol 4000, an osmotic laxative.
Macrogol 4000 has a great capacity to retain water. It is capable of transporting liquid (water) and slowing the absorption of water in the intestine, producing an increase in water in the colon.
There, the hard stools soften and increase in volume. This produces a stimulation of the intestinal movement and facilitates defecation, causing a sensation of mild relief. Macrogol 4000 has a purely physical mode of action: it is not absorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged.
DULCOSOFT® is used for:
– Symptomatic treatment of constipation
– Softening of hard stools
