Composition:
Miltefosine: 20 mg/ml
Pharmacological properties:
Milteforan 90 Ml is an effective agent against leishmaniasis and trypanosomiasis.

Indications and target species:
This product is indicated for the control of canine leishmaniasis in dogs.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Its use is not recommended during pregnancy, lactation and reproduction due to possible teratogenic effects.
Side effects:
Some dogs treated with Milteforan 90 Ml may experience moderate and transient vomiting (16% of cases) and episodes of diarrhea (12% of cases). These effects are temporary and do not affect the effectiveness of the product. Treatment does not need to be interrupted and dogs recover without specific therapy upon completion of treatment.

Route of administration:
Milteforan 90 Ml is administered orally.

Posology:
It is recommended to administer a dose of 2 mg/kg body weight, poured over food once a day for 28 days orally. The amount corresponding to 1 ml of the oral solution should be administered per 10 kg of the dog's live weight.

Special precautions:
Underdosing should be avoided to reduce the risk of resistance.
It is important to accurately determine the dog's weight before administering the medication.
It is recommended to administer Milteforan 90 Ml together with the animal's feed to reduce possible digestive side effects.
If side effects appear, you should consult your veterinarian.
In dogs with severe liver and heart failure, it is recommended that the veterinarian assess the benefit and risk of administering the medication.
The medication should be handled with gloves and protective glasses.
The medication is not recommended for pregnant women, women intending to become pregnant, and those who do not know if they are pregnant.
Freshly treated dogs should not be allowed to lick people immediately after taking the medication.
