Iberogast is a herbal product for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal disorders associated with dyspepsia and gastritis, such as stomach pain or heartburn, bloating, flatulence, colic, and nausea.

It is formulated with ethanolic liquid extracts of white elm, angelica roots, chamomile flowers, caraway fruits, milk thistle fruits, lemon balm leaves, mint leaves, celandine, and licorice root.

It is specially formulated for the relief of gastrointestinal problems in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

The usual recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 20 drops of Iberogast, 3 times a day, specifically before or during meals, with a small amount of liquid.

Contraindications
Iberogast should not be taken by:
Those under 12 years of age.
If you are allergic to any of the active ingredients or any other component of this medication.
If you have or have had liver disease, or are taking medications that include liver damage as a side effect.

Side effects
Regarding side effects, Iberogast can cause adverse effects, as with all medications on the market. In this case, the following have been observed:

Allergic hypersensitivity reactions to the product, such as skin rashes, itching, or difficulty breathing.

Liver damage (elevated liver levels, drug-related jaundice, hepatitis, and liver failure).

Composition
Each ml of Iberogast oral drops contains:

Ethanolic liquid extract: 0.15 ml of fresh Iberis amara L. (white marjoram) plants;

Ethanolic liquid extracts: 0.2 ml of Matricaria recutita L. (chamomile) flowers; 0.1 ml of Angelica archangelica L. (angelica) root; 0.1 ml of Carum carvi L. (caraway) fruit; 0.1 ml of Chelidonium majus L. (celandine) root; 0.1 ml of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. (liquorice) root; 0.1 ml of Melissa officinalis L. (lemon balm) leaf; 0.1 ml of Silybum marianum L. (Gaertner) fruit (milk thistle) and 0.05 ml of Mentha piperita L. (mint) leaf.

Other excipients: ethanol.
