The sufficient contribution of these through the diet, complementing it when necessary, favors the correct ocular functionalism. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid that constitutes an important part of the structure of the retina and, therefore, plays a role in visual development and normal ocular functionalism.
